I am going to buy some new computers to my company. I
would like that those computers came with a Windows XP
built-in (pre-instaled)
My company has a Windows 2000 Server to manager my network
where I have seted up my local and global groups to
representing departaments of the company. There are
computers clientes running Win ME and Win 98.
Next year I intent to upgrade Windows 2000 Server to
Windows 2003 Server.
So, the first question? - If I'm going to buy new
computers clients with Windows XP Home Edition pre-
instaled, those clients will log into my Windows 2000
Server Domain? If the Server was Windows 2003? Does it
happen the same?

Windows XP Home Edition cannot join a domain.
You need to order your new computers with
Windows XP Professional preinstalled.

XP HOME will NOT login to a domain. In order to login to a Domain server or
active directory forest you must purchase XP Pro
