Windows xp Home Edition

I had Windows 98 but had a bit of trouble with it. I
purchased Windows xp Home Edition and installed it to
find I don't have any sound. I have attempted to get
online troubleshooting but can't get anywhere. My audio
card is integrated in my Mother board and was working
before I loaded Windows xp Home Edition. What can I do
to fix it?

Check the manufacturer's web site for an updated XP driver for your sound
controller.

Greetings --

Have you downloaded and installed the WinXP-specific sound drivers
from the motherboard manufacturer's web site?
