Windows XP Home Edition

Unbeknownst to me, my teenage son installed my new version
of Windows XP Home Edition on his computer and activated
it online, using his name. (He has an older Pentium II
with insufficient memory and Windows XP didn't run well.)
Since discovering this, he has uninstalled it. I would
now like to install my Windows XP software on my
computer.

How can I activate my Windows XP on my computer, using my
name?

Thank you for any help provided. It is much appreciated.

Install it, when you run activation, use the activate by phone option when
presented with it as opposed to activate over the Internet. Note, while
activation can be done during XP setup, you may not be given the activate by
phone option at that time. If not, just cancel activation, when
installation is complete, go to Start\All Programs\Accessories\System
Tools\Activate Windows. When you call, just give them the information you
posted here, they only want to know it was removed from the other computer
and they will give you a new activation code.

Thank you Michael - I thought we were simply out of luck!

Funny thing, my son is a Michael as well!

I appreciate the tip and look forward to installing
Windows XP :)
