Windows XP Home Edition constant rebooting

I'm having booting problems with a Dell Windows XP Home Edition box. I can
see the drive using Knoppix (although it's in German and thus I can't use it
much, but I can see the C drive). I also ran a Seagate Utility in DOS and
the drive passed all tests. I checked the connections and they are fine.

I get the following blue screen message: A problem has been detected and
windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your
computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps.

Disable or uninstall any anti-virus, disk defragmentation or backup
utilities. Check your hard drive configuration, and check for any updated
drivers.

Run CHKDSK /F to check for hard drive corruption, and then restart your
computer.

Techinical Information:

***STOP: 0x00000024 (0x00190203, ox8235C670, 0xC0000102, 0x000000000)

I would appreciate any tips. Thank you.

Where or why did knoppix enter the problem(s),& in german, thats makes
alot of cents.....Try booting to xp cd,recovery, type:CHKDSK C: /R Once thru,
you might type:FIXBOOT Type:EXIT Let xp start. Also, when did the problem
start, maybe after a internal hardware adjustment...

Boot the computer with a Windows XP Installation CD (any one will do)
and choose the "Repair (Recovery Console)" option from the menu.

When it has finished booting to the Recovery Console and stopped at
the Command Prompt enter the following command:

CHKDSK C: /R

If you do not have a Windows XP Installation CD (System Recovery CDs
provided by OEMs with new computers typically will not boot to the
Recovery Console) then go to http://www.nu2.nu/pebuilder/ and download
Bart's PE Builder. Create a bootable Windows XP CD and then boot the
problem computer with that CD. Open a Command Prompt window and run
CHKDSK as above.

Good luck
