I'm having booting problems with a Dell Windows XP Home Edition box. I can
see the drive using Knoppix (although it's in German and thus I can't use it
much, but I can see the C drive). I also ran a Seagate Utility in DOS and
the drive passed all tests. I checked the connections and they are fine.
I get the following blue screen message: A problem has been detected and
windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.
If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your
computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps.
Disable or uninstall any anti-virus, disk defragmentation or backup
utilities. Check your hard drive configuration, and check for any updated
drivers.
Run CHKDSK /F to check for hard drive corruption, and then restart your
computer.
Techinical Information:
***STOP: 0x00000024 (0x00190203, ox8235C670, 0xC0000102, 0x000000000)
I would appreciate any tips. Thank you.
