I recently had my laptop stolen from at a school function and i am now
without a computer. Someone gave me an older but still useable computer for
school. It had a real bad virus on it and i had to reformat but of course the
gentleman that gave it to me did not have the restore disk but i do have the
ones from my laptop. I was wondering if there was anyway to unvalidate the
copy of windows on the laptop so that i may install it on the computer that
was given to me. Or would it just be easier to try and order new ones from
the manufactuer. Any advice from anyone would be great thanks alot yall

You cannot use the restore disc from the stolen laptop. You need to
get a new Windows XP license for the new laptop.
