WINDOWS XP HANGS AT BLUE SCREEN WITH WINDOWS LOGO

Help!

My laptop hangs at the windows blue screen logo regardless if I start it
normally, in safe mode, safe mode with networking, etc.

How can I get past this so I can try and run chkdsk.

Any help would be appreciated!

Try disconnecting all hardware peripherals except keyboard, mouse and
monitor?

What is your computer make and model? In what year was it new?

How is Windows XP described on your Windows XP CD?
