Windows XP Freezes

I have just installed Windows XP and it tends to freeze a
lot. Generally I am only running one program or less and
more often it is just frozen when I bring it out
of "sleep" state in the morning.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi!
have you looked at event viewer?
start>control panel>administrative tools>event viewer-here look gor
application error logs.
scan your system with latest virus definitioned antivirus/spybot.
update windows as well as all the drivers.
Have you checked the same in safe mode?
