Windows XP firewall

My new computer came with a trial version of Norton Internet Security that has a firewall. It is presently turned OFF. In order to properly evaluate this program through the 90 day trial period, is it necessary to first disable the windows XP firewall before enabling the Norton program?

Also, since I use the Google toolbar pop up blocker, must I disable the pop up blocker to also test the Norton ad blocking feature of NIS?

It won't hurt to leave them both on. Good luck with the NIS 2004
trial version. The first thing I do on a new machine that has NIS
2004 Trial version installed is to uninstall it.

Your choice of course but be aware that NIS 2004 requires purchase and
activation after the 90 day trial period.
