Windows XP fax console has quit receiving

I have been using the Windows XP version of fax console for a couple of years
with no problems. All of a sudden the automatic receive function quit
working. I have tried to reconfigure but to no avail. I am looking for
possible fixes.

A couple of thoughts come to mind. Firstly, is the FAX modem working
properly and still configured for the user? Secondly, is the FAX line
working?
