windows xp ERROR MESSAGE HELP

i am Getting an error message come up each time i shut
down my lap top the message is as follows:

NetEXE-application failed to initalize properly
(oxc000142) click ok to terminate program .

I have to clivk ok about 5 times before my pc turns off i
have tried to find the file but there is none can anyone
help with this please

Sharon, if you have a Dell then try this

Solution that works for me: C:\Program
Files\Dell\Support\Alert\Bin\NotifyAlert.exe



Rename NotifyAlert.exe to xxxNotifyAlert.exe or some other name. Dell
NotifyAlert.exe program no longer functions - have gotten no more error
messages and have had no adverse effects from the change. The rest of Dell
remains intact - whether for better or worse I will leave to others.

Thanks for all the help from others that pointed me in this direction cause
was going crazy with the errors!
