Windows XP Corrupted?

A couple of days ago, I turned on my computer and there
was a message saying that Windows may be corrupted. The
system finished loading, but I've lost my presets and the
computer only gets me on a temporary account (resets
every time I turn on the computer). I've run Nortons
Antivirus and it finds nothing. Everything runs fine
other than my account doesn't exist.

Any suggestions?
