Windows XP cdrom support

In win98 I could use a 3rd party software package to
write directly to a cdr or cdrw fom within Quicken or
windows explorer. Is there a way to regain this
functionality in win xp home. Running Quicken 2004 & Nero
6 ultra.

Yes, with 3rd party software such as InCD (Part of Nero) or Direct CD (part
of Easy CD Creator).

THe inbuilt burning does not support the 'packet writing' mode concerned
and you still need a third party package - preferably a new version of
