new install, I have my CD Key # can I download a copy
from the internet.

Hi, Glenn.

No, you can't download WinXP. But, if you can borrow a WinXP CD-ROM, you
can install it using your CD Key #. We pay mostly for the LICENSE to use
WinXP; the cost of the CD itself is nominal.

Or you can call Microsoft, explain the situation, and they will tell you how
to replace the lost CD-ROM. For details, see:

Borrowing a disk would be much faster. Be sure, however to get the same disk
type: Full retail, Upgrade, OEM, etc., if you want it to be compatible with
your Product Key.
