windows xp boot up

Hi, could someone give me specific steps on how to speed
up the boot up process. My computer takes about five
minutes and I have noidea how to help it.

Mindy, go to Start>Run type: msconfig select Startup and see how
many programs are starting at
boot. You may want to uncheck a few. Also, do a check for trojans,
spyware and adware
