Windows XP and Windows Updates

One of the things I try to do is to keep Windows XP
updated with the most current critical updates and service
packs. I have an HP Laptop for my wife (Do Not Remember
the model) that when I try to update I get an error
0X800C0008 and it specifies the date and times are
incorrect and to correct this by double clicking on the
date. I haxe done this several times and it does not fix
the problem. I would like to get this laptop updated.

Bobby, it appears that your CMOS battery on system board
needs to be replaced. That's the usual culprit with
date/time issues.
