Windows XP accounts and the screen saver

I have two accounts set up. The screen goes to the account sign-in screen
after a period of time (how do I set the period?). If I activate the screen
saver the account does not time out. The account sign-in screen is leaving a
"burn mark" on the monitor (LCD). How do I have the screen saver operating
with the account sign-in screen?

Hi there Peter,

Just for clarification, are you having this issue at the Welcome Screen
before anyone logs into the machine?

No, this is the situation after I have been using the computer and leave it
for a while. I want the security of timing out and going back to the log-in
account screen as well as a screen saver.

Hi there Peter,

Thanks for that.

What you need to do is right click on your desktop, and then left click on
properties. Select the Screen Saver tab, and select your screen saver from
the drop down box. In the Wait window, select the amout of time you would
like before the screen saver comes on, and check the "On resume, password
protect" check box. Click apply, and then OK.

Hope this Helps!

Best Regards,

~Will
