Windows won't start

Guest

When powered on, my HP ZU1175 laptop doesn't enter Windows and displays the
message:

Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt:

<Windows root>\system32\ntoskrnl.exe.

Please re-install a copy of the above file

What do I do to fix this?

If you can somehow boot up in to safemode (Press F8 at boot up to get in to
safemode) click on START / RUN type in sfc /scannow and it will make sure
all files are in tacket and in good shape.

If you can't do the above try booting up to the windows xp cd and run a
repair on the OS and it should fix the problem.

copy NTOSKRNL.EXE from the installation XP CD onto the
%systemroot%/system32 directory.
