Windows wont boot unless I press restart on towercase

Ive been having a very strange problem with my computer
lately, when I open it I can hear the system open (fan
noise etc) but the screen stays black and nothing hepens,
fortunately when I press the restart button under my
power switch the system reboots normally. what could be
causing this and any tips on fixing that ?

This can be caused by a failing power supply. It doesn't have enough
juice to get the hard drive spinning the first time, but the drive's
momentum will get it going the second time you try. Replacing a power
supply is easy and inexpensive.
