One my other computer, XP sp2 shut down with no warning....screen goes to
black....but the system stays running... as soon as I press the power button
it shuts off...I try to restart.. my BIOS comes up...one beep from my mother
board, cursor flashes for a few seconds.. ( this is normal..) then just when
XP should start to load.. nothing.. a black screen. I cant get into safe
mode..( like no windows installed! ) I can bring up the BIOS, recovery disk
wont run.. ( it needs windows??) A computer shop reloaded XP for me and wiped
my hard drive clean... installed a " ghost" copy of my hard drive on a
seperate Hard drive so I can get my files...I was in the "ghost drive looking
for files when the instance happened again....( it will be going back to the
shop tomorrow..) Any ideas on whats going on?

No, it doesnt seem to be...the shop checked that...temps look normal when I
got it back from the shop. The windows shut down screen comes up and then
shuts down...once this happens...they have to do a complete reinstall of
windows... just trying to see if anyone else has any ideas.
