I upgraded a Windows ME machine to Windows XP. Since then, a bubble pops up
ofter each bootup to warn of the presence of incompatible drivers that it
had to disable. Specifically, the drivers are for Roxio's CD
Creator. I uninstalled the program using the applet in Control Center.
That did not get rid of the warning. Among the things I have tried were to
upgrade Media Player to v10.0 (hoping to overwrite the files with more
current drivers), searched the hard drive for the location of the two
drivers (not present), searched the registry for the drivers (also not
present) and went through and deleted all references to Roxio's CD Creator.
Nevertheless, the bubble continues to issue it's warning. I should add,
that the screen blacks out momentarily before and after this warning is
issued, as if Windows is actually shutting them down as the warning is
issued. Does anyone know how I can shut it off?
