windows will not boot

Everytime I try to boot up, I get returned to boot up screen. When I go to f8
options screen and try to boot up in safe mode again I am returned. I have
tried to use my xp disc to do a repair, but then I get a blue screen which
tells me a problem has been detected and windows has been shut down. I have
been running around in circles for a couple of days now , can anyone please
help?

Hi

Seems like you need to try a 'Clean' install of XP. However that will
delete all data on the hard disk/partition.

Oh dear ! Do I have any other options? What if I replaced the hard disk and
installed xp onto that, could I then access data stored on the old hard disc
at all?

Gruven,
Google "blue screen boot up" and you will be able to read loads of advice
about this fault.
