Well again I wasn't trying to get into an argument with which is better.
I
just used that as a quick comparison.
So you're saying if I buy the Ultimate Edition I can install it on 3
systems?
No, where did you get that? Only if you buy three copies. One install
per
license. The Family discount is buy one Ultimate - upgrade or full - and
get the right to buy up to two Home Premium copies for 49.99 each. Or buy
a
volume license which starts at five.

rwbta said:I purchased Windows Vista Ultimate Full and somewhere in all the
documentation it was indicated that the license was for three computers.
Now
that I´m looking for it I can´t find it but I do remember seeing it and
several salespeople in different stores told me the same thing (without me
asking).
rwbta said:I don't doubt you, but why, then, does it use the phrase "licensed for
three..."
Where is "licensed for three..." used ?
Can you provide the entire quote or at least point to the
documentation where this is used.
Are you sure you didn't see the Office package? That can be
installed on 3 computers.

Dave Cox said:Correction.......Office can only be installed on one PC with the
exception if and only if it is a full retail version then you can
install it on one portable device for your own use.
I had previously read an article (non-microsoft) that stated it
can be on up to 3 systems.
