Windows Vista Sidebar

All of a sudden my Sidebar has a white background, instead of showing the
gadgets just superimposed on top of my desktop picture. How do I get rid of
the white background? Thanks, Tom

First, try this. Right click a blank spot on the sidebar and in Properties
switch the sidebar from right to left ad back again. See if it resets
itself.

I ran into this just yesterday while trialing the new version of ZoneAlarm
for Vista. I decided I didn't want ZA in it's present form so I went back to
a system image I created just before installing ZA. This, of course,
eliminated the condition.

Other programs may cause the same thing to occur.

Thanks. I tried switching to Classic and back, but the white background is
still there. Tom

sealion, if everything fails you can always do a system restore

on how to do this and more info on system restore
go to windows help and type system restore

this will take your pc back to a time where it was working ok without
deleting personal files like emails documents
etc.

That will also happen when you lose aero. Have you checked your color
scheme settings?
