Windows Sidebar Problem

I had to reinstall Norton Internet Security, and after doing so the Windows
Sidebar now shows as a white bar, blocking out my Desktop. Previously the
gadgets in the sidebar appeared superimposed on top of the desktop. Now they
are part of a solid block running the entire right hand side of the desktop.
How to I return to the ols wat?

Right click the Taskbar > click Task Manager > go to the Processes tab >
look for 'Sidebar.exe' > right click it and click it and click 'End
Process'. Restart the system then start back the Sidebar.

Norton hogs Vista. You are better off with freeware AVG.Uninstall
Norton and try AVG.This may return it to the ols wat

Thanks Andre, but it didn't work. Still appears as a solid bar and not
transparent. Tom
