Windows (Vista) Mail saving emails to disc for backup

How do I save emails in my Windows Mail (Vista) to a disc to store them or
keep them as backup?

If "File" is not near the upper left corner, you don't have Windows Mail.
Windows Live Mail requires pressing Alt in order to see the File menu.
