Windows Vista Home Premium and MSN messenger

I recently downloaded MSN messenger and it automatically attached to my start
up menu. I don't want it starting up everytime I turn on my computer. How can
I take it off of my start up menu? I know how in older versions but Vista is
different. I can't even find my start up menu.

Do you actually mean it starts automatically when you logon?
This is just a setting in Messenger and nothing to do with Vista.
Just (in messenger) go to Tools .. Options ... General (tab) and select the
startup options you want.

Up near the top right corner of the messenger window is a tiny light grey
box with a down arrow. Click on the box, then show menu bar.

Then go to tools | Options | General and remove the appropriate check.
