Windows Vista blue screen on start up

I recently bought a new laptop about a month ago. It is completely brand new
with Windows Vista Home Premium on it. I did not have any problems with it
for a long time and then one day, I go to switch it on and it goes to a blue
screen and creates a memory dump or something like that. It then says that
Windows is unable to start and do I want to launch Startup Repair. I launch
Startup Repair and it gives me the chance to use System Restore. System
Restore launches and then the computer reboots. Again it goes to the same
blue screen and asks me whether I want to go to Startup Repair again. The
second time Startup Repair launches it doesn't give me the option to use
System Restore but instead checks for problems on the computer and then says
something like Windows is unable to fix your computer, please refer to
manufacturer. I click finish and the whole thing shuts down. However when I
restart the computer reboots normally and System Restore has appeared to
work. I have not installed anything on the laptop at all and it happens
completely without warning. I could be on it all day and shut it down quite
normally only to find that the next day it won't start. This has now happened
twice and I am very very frustrated so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Chazz

Random issues like that usually indicate bad hardware. Since this is a
new laptop, contact the laptop mftr. under your warranty for
repair/replacement.

If you don't feel this is *your* answer, make a new post instead of
tacking yours onto someone else's thread and include all pertinent
details. These links will guide you in creating that post so you can get
