Windows Vista Beta 2 installation problem

Per the Vista Upgrade Advisor results, I should be able to run all core
features of Vista Beta 2 on my computer; however, when I try to install Vista
Beta 2, I get the following message:

"You must make the following changes before installing Windows:
Close Windows installation and contact the device manufacturer for updated
driver software for these devices:
Your computer is not compatible with Windows Vista, so Windows Vista cannot
be installed."

Any ideas as to why the upgrade advisor gives me a "green light" yet I'm
unable to proceed w/installation after receiving the above message... Thanks!

You don't mention which device needed the update, so, it will be difficult
to divine the information, and therefore provide some assistance, without
Runes or tea-leaves...

As for Update Advisor, it also is a Beta.

As unbelievable as it may seem, Vista's installation error message was
exactly as I originally posted. It never specified any particular device,
indicating only that "Your computer is not compatible with Windows Vista, so
Windows Vista cannot be installed." I, too, expected Vista's feedback more
specific than that, but whatever...

The Upgrade Advisor is focusing on your general hardware capabilities, but
if you do not have, for example, enough free hard drive space (needs 11.3GB)
then it will be Setup that will stop you.

Your nVidia graphics card may be the culprit as it is an unsupported model
in Vista. Your colour depth is also very low at 64K colours.

The hard drive capacities are OK but you do not list the free space. I
think the Advisor might pass you if you only check the first two boxes, but
Jane is correct that the video card would only support Aero in basic mode.

Windows Vista behaves like this when critical drivers are notpresent. This
sounds like a HD chipset driver that needs to be installed with f6 at
install Time. If you have one of thos darned Sil 3x12 chipset's I can
provide an interim solution
Kind regards,
