Update Vista Beta 2 to RC1 won't work

Hi I have a question hopefully you guys can help with. I'm Currently running
Beta 2. I just received my RC1 DVDs for Microsoft. When I try to update
install to RC1, I get beyond the point after entering product key and EULA It
only offers the option of custom install. It says at the bottom of the
window that Upgrade disabled. Upgrade only available for Windows xp, and
windows vista. It says online, that it should upgrade from beta 2, and the
Upgrade advisor says system is ok. No updates available from windows update.
Anybody got any suggestions, I'm stumped. Thanks

assuming its the same as the download, start the install from within
windows, ie dont boot from the DVD, then the upgrade version is available

Sorry, I didn't mention that. I have been running from setup from within
windows. In fact I haven't tried booting from DVD.
