I am going over to Vista:
Is it possible to use Microsoft Office XP Standard in Vista?

Thanks for any kind of help.

Your header says Office 2000. Your post says Office XP (2003). Which is it?

Of course I mean Office XP Standard 2002.
As I understand it will function in Vista in "compatibility" mode.
Thank you all for your help.

If you're not using Outlook it will *probably* work OK. You know it's
not supported so the Outlook bug won't be fixed and there's no help
from MSFT but if you do need help, try the Office newsgroups, there's
quite a few people trying to run Office XP in Vista.

Yes. According to this Microsoft KnowledgeBase article 932087:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/932087:

<quote>
Microsoft Office 2000, Microsoft Office XP, Microsoft Office 2003, and the
2007 Microsoft Office suites are all supported on Windows Vista.
....
The 2007 Office suites were designed to run on Windows Vista. Therefore, the
2007 Office suites are the recommended and best versions of Office for this
platform.

Hope it helps,

I need an answer to this question too.

If I can use Office 2000 in Vista, I don't see any reason you shouldn't be
able to use Office XP.
