I was trying to send an email and got the message that windows vista no
longer supports hotmail and other email web browsers. I have been surfing
the net on this computer using my hotmail account and was able to access
hotmail. However, if I access other sites from the browser bar and try to
send out an email to their contacts I get the message of vista no longer
supporting hotmail.

Do I have to set up a NEW email account just to send things from my computer
now that I have window Vista?

It may be easier to download Windows Live Mail and install it; it does
support
Hotmail accounts. Wait for someone to tell you where to find it.

If you don't want to use a standard email program, and you just
want to use your Hotmail account via the web browser, you
can make Hotmail your default email service which will then
respond when you click on a website contact ('MailTo' link):
