windows updates

I have just reformated my hpze4200 ..I dont know what the deal is .. but I
can not get to windows updates .. or microsoft newsgroups on that laptop... I
can go anywhere else on the internet.. but not anything to do with
microsoft.. I get a sorry.com site instead of microsoft.
Also my control panel is missing .. I cant get to add/remove .. I get a
restrictions error there.. Im sooooooooooooooooooo frustrated.
I cant get wga to update ...

Please copy and paste the following into a Notepad and safe as Reg.bat on
your Desktop then double click the Reg.bat to execute it and click "YES" to

you have to add these sites to your Trusted Sites in I.E. or you can turn
off your
Windows Firewall or configure any other Third party firewall you may have.

Tools -> Internet Options -> Security -> Trusted Sites ->
Sites -> Add this Web site to the zone:
