Windows Updates

I've tryed everything I can find to try but no matter
what i do when the windows updates page starts up and it
says "scanning for current version of windows..." the
page loads saying system administrators only. My account
is an administrator account. I have Windows XP Home
Edition on my computer. What do I do???
