I've been fighting this for 2 days now in the computer lab. When I go to
"Windows Update" I have over 50 updates to install. It looks like everything
is installing correctly, but when it gets to the end, it then tells me that
"windows updates were not installed". I've tried the express option and also
the custom option to only install a few of them but still no success. Any
help?????

What anti virus do you have and did you disable the auto scan before
installing the updates? Did you do a clean up/defrag before installing
the updates?

We are running "Vexira Antivirus", Did not disable auto scan. The updates
have worked on 3 of the 10 computers I have tried. No I've not done any
clean up/defrag before installing. If needed I can copy and paste the
"update log"

I don't know if what I do helps or not but I've never, ever, had a
problem with updates since Win95 and I have always done a clean
up/Defrag before downloading and installing them. In addition, I always
disable my AV's auto scan so it isn't checking the installation and
possibly messing it up.

At this point I'll try anything. Let me diable and run defrag/clean up and
see what happens. ::crosses fingers::
