windows updates uninstallers

Why is it that some Windows updates have "unistall"
available and some don't. Why would anyone would want to
unistall an update and why would some of those be
permanent????

Believe it or not: Not all MS updates work properly! <g,d&r...>

810847/Feb-03 Cumulative Patch for IE was one of 'em and we went through
h*** for months because of the problems caused by this sucker. Succeeding
CumPatches for IE and many other updates were made removable via Add/Remove
Programs to avoid such problems in the future. And we're glad MS did this.
