I downloaded and successfully installed 5 updates from the Windows Update
site yesterday on my 2 computers. Today, I returned to the update site and
have experienced a variety of error messages on one of my two computers. On
the other computer, the update site seems to work, but very slowly. Has
anyone else experienced problems with the Windows Update site? Any
suggestions would be appreciated.

Five updates and millions of users, the site is swamped.
Took me a while to get in at all, then only two of the five
installed the first time, had to go back to get the last
three. Everybody seems to be getting their updates ASAP and
the server is very busy.

| I haven't been able to connect to the site for over twelve
hours.

I have updates automatically scheduled for my pc. after
installation of this morning's updates, I was unable to
reboot. the system boots then I get the screen that says
sorry, windows didn't close properly start in safe mode
or most recent working version. took about 10 attempts
to finally get things working correctly. still don't
know what the updates were for or if they're installed.
boggles my mind how an update can hose your system.

the update site must be very busy, can you imagine
updating millions of computers as fast as possible?
keep your firewall on and give the update site time to
get everyone updated.
