windows update

When i go to use my windows update in XP home addition it
finds the update site OK but it comes up with a message
saying that only administrators only can update. itry
following the steps that are displyed on the screen but
nothing happens. What security settings can I change and
where. Im the only user and there is no log on screens it
just boots straight into windows xp home addition.

Greg, If you find a solution could you let me know
please. I am having similar problems with XP prof.
Cannot access any secure site. I have reset all
security, taken off Norton Int. Sec., checked policies,
etc., but no joy.
