Is there a way to put all the Windows updates on a CD and then load them
from CD rather then going over the Internet?

I only have a modem connection to the WEB at home making Windows Update
unbearably slow - it would take 2 days or more to update XP/2000. I have
high speed Internet at work though.

Thanks.

Downloading Windows Update over night IS worth it. I've
done it on 56k. Just select say 3 or 4 updates at a time
if you want. Select the CRITICAL first. Then go back into
Windows Update and it should list the ones you didn't
download. I can't be too sure, I just download them all at
once.

Another way is take your computer (or if you're REAL
techie! just your hard disk) to a computer connected by
broadband/cable and do it that way.

If not, Windows Update on CD is aka a Service Pack :)

Make sure you at least get the critical updates. They
aren't called *critical* for nothing.
