Windows Update - Patches not Required

Many of my XP Pro clients on my 2k LAN have the little message on the task
bar telling them updates are ready to install.

However, I have pushed updates out to all my clients using third party
software, and they don't require any patches.

Is there any way of telling the auto update to forget it has patches?

Hi Keith,

Being selective or just over the board? If the latter, kill Window Updates,
period. Tp do, so run the edit on line 44 (right hand side):
