Windows update not downloading

Every time I try to download 5 critical updates that
windows prompts All I get is the dialog box and no
download. I have a cable connection which is fine. This is
the first time I've had a problem. I restarted my computer
a couple of times and am at a loss.

I had the same problem and was told to delete iuctl.dll
and iuengine.dll from the C:\Winnt\System32 folder. It
worked for me, but since I'm not an expert, I strongly
suggest making backups of these files before trying this
remedy yourself just in case this is not your problem.
