windows update for defender keeps showing in scan

I am unable to update defender woth update ID Definition Update 1.14.1350.3
for BETA Windows Defender (KB915597)
via windows update or program why; each time a attempt is made it says
sucsess but shows again in scan for updates

See post "Can no longer update Defender" dated 3/23/03.

Deleting the definition file and checking for updates worked for me.
