windows update error

I have a customer that uses XP Home. Recently, a message
displayed that the page could not be accessed and directed
me to a knowledge base site. I read the material and
performed the said corrections (delete of folders/files
and registry entry fixes), but still am unable to
connect. Any suggestions? The customer really wants to
update the computer with the new viruses and hacks that
are out now.

The Update would not work for me until I shut off my pop-
up blocker. If they have one--disable it--until the
updates are complete--hopefully this will help.
