Windows Update and HP4200

I installed driver updates for August and
began having problems with our HP 4200 printer. It won't
print to the envelope feeder.

When trying to open the general tab, printing preferences
on the HP 4200, it displayed an error "Function address
0x78010479 caused a protection fault. (exception code
0xc0000005) Some or all of the property page(s) may not
be displayed."

Is there a way to remove this update?

Thank you.

What update was it? If it can be removed there will be an entry for it
in Add / Remove programs.

It don't remember the number of the update, but it was an
August driver update for the HP 4200. I don't see
anything listed under Add/Remove programs.

Oh..a driver update. Never get drivers from the windows update site,
only from the manufacturer's site. That being said use the driver
rollback feature to remove the new driver. Right click on My computer,
take properties, hardware, Device Manager. Go to the printer. Double
click on it, choose the Drivers tab and roll back.

Same problem on my end on both a Windows 2000 Server and Windows XP
Pro SP2 Workstation. My other HP printers are fine. It's just the HP
LaserJet 4200dtn that's having the problem.

I don't see anywhere to remove the printer from Device Manager on
Windows 2000 Server or Windows XP Pro SP2.

I removed the printer on both computers and used the Server Properties
item in the Printers and Faxes window to remove the driver. Then I
reinstalled the printer and forced a new install of the PS driver I
just downloaded from the HP site.

Unfortunately, I still have the same problem on the server. If I
connect directly to the JetDirect from my XP workstation after
manually removing and reinstalling the printer and driver, the problem
goes away.
