windows themes...i think

Someone has the icons and fonts, etc. changed on my laptop. It seems to be a
themes issue, but not sure. I've changed the fonts and icons back to the way
I want them, but about every 30 minutes, a sound is heard and it goes right
back to the way it was. I can't figure it out. I've chnaged themes and saved
it, but same thing happens. By the way, where should I be saving the theme
when I do save it? Any help would be much appreciated.

Scan the system for malware and see in addition

By the way, where should I be saving the theme when I do save it?

That does not really matter as long as you can remember that folder.
"My Documents" or %windir%\Resources\Themes folder look fine to me.
