Windows System32 Folder opens with computer is started

Running Windows XP Pro

After installing all my programs, now when computer boots
up the c:\windows\systems32 folder opens.

Possible causes?

Password protecting files & folders in Windows XP Pro?
or Limited access to files & folders with password
protection?
