Just recently, I notice that when I start Win XP Pro, SR-2, the folder
C:\Program Files\Common opens (showing a bin folder). I've used Autoruns to
see if anything is loading that would cause it, but can't find anything.
There is an entriy on the logon tab (in Autoruns) that references that
folder:
InterVideo WinCinema Manager.lnk (a recently installed decoder to play DVDs
in Media Player), where the image path is c:\program
files\common\bin\wincinemamgr.exe. However, it is unchecked. Whether
checked or not, the folder opens when I boot up. (I do not have "Restore
previous folder windows at logon" checked (under Folder Options/View tab...&
I also shut the Common folder).
How can I get rid of this behavior, so that Windows simply boots up to my
desktop without any extraneous folders opening.
