windows system error

Hi I am using xp home, and recently started having an error after logging in
that says Windows System Error duplicate names exist on the network. I can't
figure it out. Thanks,

This means that two computers on your local area network have the same name.
All computers must have unique names, and it is also a bad idea to use a
name that is the same as a user account. IOW, don't have a computer named
"John" when you have a user account called "John".

Go to Control Panel>System>Computer Name tab. You can change the name of
your computer there.
