Windows system error

I just set up a HP centrino laptop with XP Home. After all was setup (for a
single user) I receive the following error when I am ready to log in: A
duplicate name exists on the network. I can click on ok and everything seems
to be working fine. Please help.
 
I am having the same problem when I install a Philips sound card. The only
difference is my internet and networking does not work.

have you gone to control panel->user accounts and seen where that led you?
 
I have already checked into that. There seems to be no conflict anywhere
that I have looked.
