Windows startup

When I start my computer an old desktop picture flashes briefly before going
to the login screen. Problem is this picture has been deleted from the
computer for a while. Could any one tell me how to get rid of this problem
for good. Thanks to anyone who can help

Did you use some utility to install that picture as a startup screen at some
point? If so, then it has been saved elsewhere on your system. You'll need to
run that utility and tell it to delete that startup picture or to go back to
the Windows default. If you've deleted the utility you used, you will have to
reinstall it and see if it still "sees" the old picture. My guess is, it will.
