Windows Startup

I have a Dell Dimension 3000, which came loaded with Windows xp. I have been
using this desktop for about 1 year without any hitch. Since yesterday , when
I open up teh system - it goes thru the bios and once I try to log in as one
of teh users - the system hangs - it does not get into the desk top screen.
However by using contrl+aLT+TAB I can get to command prompt and then thru my
Program wizard file get into the internet.
Another funny thing is that - the desk top will open up if I log in as one
of teh Non "Admin." users.
Would really appreciate any help with this

Thanks

Boot safe mode, one of your drivers or something is causing the system to not
gain access when you log on or try to.

Thanks Travis - I used the safe mode - and the windows desktop opened up -
When I restarted it - I am getting the following error - " Windows socket
error. An invalid argument was supplied ( 10022) on API connect"

Thanks again for your help
